Life at Baker Tilly

Thousands of professionals, three core principles

What does it take to be a people-first employer? It means making sure our people feel valued and appreciated.

To do this, we go all in on our three people principles:

Become

Build and sustain a globally relevant career by connecting with and learning from colleagues in member firms around the world. It’s a truly borderless working experience.

Belong

We foster diversity, equality and inclusion, no matter where you work in our global organisation. It will give you a strong sense of belonging with an employer that really cares.

Matter

We are recognised globally for our positive social impact. It’s proof that your work with us makes a difference – and that our culture is built on values that are more than just words.

''Collaboration is at the heart of our culture, with people from across our network combining their expertise.”

Androulla Soteri
Director of People
Baker Tilly International

Our people come together – for clients and each other

Experience makes our people invaluable. Training makes them unstoppable. Our Learning Hub offers more than 500 on-demand courses: from technical training to commercial skills development. There’s also interactive training – dynamic, collaborative sessions joined by our people from all over the world.

We have in-person development too, like our Leaders of Tomorrow programme for new managers, The Oxford Programme for new partners, plus The Leader As Coach, a coaching programme for executive leaders across our network. All of this is delivered to our member firms worldwide.

Oxford Programme 2023 highlights

In June 2023, our inaugural Oxford Programme kicked off at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. The three-day residential brought together a group of 30 new partners representing 15 firms from our global network.

Borderless working, limitless opportunity

Each year, Baker Tilly professionals take on international assignments. These see them working in collaboration with colleagues in different member firms around the world – an incredible opportunity to learn new skills, understand other cultures and hone their expertise.

They might be working within a specific project, building an understanding of other markets, or getting a broader perspective on how another firm tackles its clients’ business challenges.

A borderless working story

Listen to this episode of our “Real people, Real stories’’ podcast where we speak to Ben Lloyd, CEO of Baker Tilly Canada, on his borderless working story.

We celebrate success, locally and internationally

From individual business successes across our network to international celebrations across the globe, Baker Tilly recognises achievement and promotes awareness.

We bring our people together for large events, inviting guest speakers who challenge and inspire our teams. It’s also a chance to unite our efforts during major events such as International Women’s Day and World Mental Health Day.

Global conferences

Every year we host regional and global conferences where people from across our network come together to discuss our network's strategy and connect face to face.
