Growing Austrian tax capabilities

23 April, 2024

TPA Austria, a network member of Baker Tilly International, has merged with WWV-Group, a tax consulting firm based in Lower Austria.

The merger, effective 1 April 2024, further strengthens TPA’s expertise in tax consultancy, accounting, insolvency and restructuring management, among others, and extends the firm’s presence to 15 locations in Austria, six of which are located in the economically-strong federal state of Lower Austria.

Speaking on the merger, Klaus Bauer-Mitterlehner, TPA Group Partner, said: “By joining forces and formalising our existing and successful collaboration, we are uniting two highly respected firms in the Austrian market. This enables us to deliver on our commitment to our clients of going all in now to get the best out of tomorrow.”

Francesca Lagerberg, Baker Tilly International CEO, added: “We are delighted to welcome the team at WWV to our network. While all our service lines grew in revenue terms in FY23, tax was the standout performer, growing 15% in US dollar terms. This growth was driven by evolving regulatory landscapes and the escalating complexities posed by local tax authorities. The merger between TPA and WWV further enhances our ability to deliver the expertise that our clients need, when and where they need it.”
