At Baker Tilly, we believe sustainable growth starts with opportunity.
As part of the National Year of Reading, Baker Tilly International’s Global Office has partnered with Chapter One UK to provide one-to-one reading support for children who need it most.
Chapter One is a UK-based literacy charity that connects volunteers with primary school children for weekly online reading sessions, helping pupils build the confidence and skills they need to thrive. By focusing on early intervention, the charity works to close the literacy gap and improve long-term educational outcomes.
Through this partnership, our people volunteer their time to read weekly with pupils who require additional support. These consistent, focused sessions help build confidence, improve comprehension and foster a lifelong love of learning.
Unlocking potential
The impact goes beyond improved reading ability.
It strengthens self-belief, unlocks potential and helps to change life trajectories, one child at a time.
For us, this is what purpose in action looks like: investing in communities, supporting young people and helping to build a more inclusive and sustainable future.
Through initiatives like this, our #PurposeProjects continue to demonstrate how small, focused actions can create meaningful, lasting change.
