Baker Tilly International has signed a global agreement with Circit, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing audit quality, efficiency and collaboration through technology.
Circit's technology helps audit teams and their clients collaborate more effectively by streamlining information requests, document exchange and audit workflows. Its wider platform also offers capabilities in independently verified audit evidence, automation and AI-powered document review and data analysis, creating opportunities to further enhance the audit process.
The agreement supports Baker Tilly International's refreshed audit and assurance strategy under Thrive 2030, which includes a focus on developing a more co-ordinated and supported technology environment across its global network.
Andrew Paul, director of audit technical at Baker Tilly International, commented: "Our focus is on enhancing audit quality and creating a better experience for our clients and our people. Technology has an important role to play in achieving this, helping reduce administrative effort and allowing audit teams to focus more on areas where their professional expertise adds the greatest value."
Stefan Frerichs, director of IT at Baker Tilly International, added: "We see significant opportunities in combining better-connected audit technology with emerging AI capabilities. Our agreement with Circit is a practical step forward, while also opening the door to exploring further innovations together as technology and the needs of our firms continue to evolve.
