15 May, 2024

Baker Tilly network firm MHA in the UK has announced a merger with Irish accountancy and advisory firm Roberts Nathan. Effective 1 July 2024, Roberts Nathan will begin trading as Baker Tilly Ireland.

With 70 staff and partners operating out of offices in Dublin and Cork, Baker Tilly Ireland plans to create 100 new jobs as part of its expansion strategy. The 100 new roles will range from graduates to experienced professionals in Dublin and Cork, with hybrid working options over the next two years. These positions will span audit, advisory, and tax services, reflecting Baker Tilly Ireland’s commitment to driving economic growth and offering high-quality employment opportunities in Ireland.

“We are delighted to share this exciting news,” said Vivian Nathan, Managing Partner of Roberts Nathan, who will become Baker Tilly Ireland's new Regional Chief Operations Officer.

“This proposed merger marks a pivotal milestone, enabling us to leverage our combined strengths to provide more extensive services and innovative solutions to our clients while creating significant growth opportunities for our team.”

“Expanding into Ireland is a significant step in MHA’s strategic growth plans given the country’s strong trading ties and business connections with the UK and mainland Europe, as well as its thriving business community, and resilient economy.

Francesca Lagerberg, Baker Tilly International CEO, added: “We’re delighted to enhance our Baker Tilly presence in the Irish market. The combination of these two firms brings a powerful mix of skills and expertise that will benefit our clients and provide new job opportunities.
