The restructuring and insolvency team at leading UK law firm and Baker Tilly network firm Freeths has again been recognised as the UK’s top-performing insolvency practice, securing the number one position in the latest Solomonic Year in Review 2025.
Analysis from the litigation data and analytics platform shows that Freeths issued 548 claims in the insolvency and companies list during 2025, more than twice the number filed by the second-ranked firm. The figures place Freeths well ahead of its competitors and highlight the scale and consistency of the team’s work.
The ranking builds on a strong track record. In 2024, Freeths issued 402 claims, securing the top position in Solomonic’s High Court Review for the second consecutive year.
These results underline the firm’s sustained growth and the consistent performance that has kept it at the top of the national insolvency rankings.
Commenting on the achievement, Graeme Danby, national head of insolvency at Freeths, said: “Being ranked number one for several years in a row says a great deal about the strength of our team, the trust of our clients, and the consistently high standards we set ourselves as a national practice. I’m genuinely proud of what the team delivers.
“We continue to invest strategically in the practice and have the depth and capacity to support new matters where we can add real value.”
Francesca Lagerberg, CEO of Baker Tilly International, added: “Freeths continues to demonstrate the ambition, expertise and leadership that define our global legal network. Their consistent performance and position at the top of the insolvency rankings reflects both the strength of their team and their commitment to delivering outstanding outcomes for clients.”
